Join a little girl as she takes an animal-filled journey in search of a marvelous creature: a crocodile! There's only one problem#151 she has no idea what it looks like. But she's bored with her chickens that just strut and peck, and the cat who only stretches out and sleeps, so she goes out anyway, in the bright sun and across the dusty ground baked hard and hot. First she spots something in the trees, with a long scaly body and beautiful colors. Oh, no: crocodiles don't slide and slither like that. Then she comes upon a tall, spotted animal, with a long, long neck. Could it be? Unfortunately, not. One by one she meets the beasts of the jungle: a proud, golden animal with a brown mane a gangly, pink-legged creature covered with black and white feathers a poor ugly brute with an odd-looking snout and an enormous gray animal with a very long nose. Still#151 no crocodile. Then, suddenly, there's a shiny white egg, and it opens with a crack....
